Pistol Bays

The club facilities include eight pistol bays.   One of the pistol bays is specifically designated as .22 rimfire ONLY (no other ammunition to be used on this bay), with appropriate “swingers” and other targets for the .22 enthusiast.  Each bay is enclosed on both sides by an earthen berm, and the backstop is a reasonably tall mountain of dirt/rock. This feature provides for a level of safety from mistakes or mishaps on the part of other shooters.   Several of the bays have a 6-plate rack for target practice.  Absolutely NO centerfire rifle or AP (armor piercing) rounds – or shotgun slugs - to be used on the pistol plate racks.  No Tracer or incendiary ammunition allowed anywhere on P.S.G.C. range.

Rifle Range

Our rifle range goes out to 264 yards. About 200 yards of the rifle range is on the flat, the remainder is situated on the hillside. The range is fenced in.  There is an earthen berm that separates the rifle range from the pistol bays.  This feature provides for a level of safety from mistakes or mishaps on the part of other shooters.   No Armor Piercing, Tracer or incendiary ammunition allowed anywhere on P.S.G.C. range.  No pistol target practice on the rifle range.  All fire is to be directed down range – no “angle” or cross range fire; do not fire at steel targets from less than 100 yards (causes target damage).

Please Note:  California State Law makes the sale, possession or use of Armor Piercing (Penal Code Sec. 12320), Tracer or Incendiary (Penal Code Sec. 12301) ammunition a CRIME.
